The Little Book Club - 4 Months

The Little Book Club is a monthly service that provides a set of books customized to your childs age. This was our first month with this subscription and I've been eagerly awaiting it. We are big readers in this house and I'm hoping to pass that onto my son.

I was excited when I saw this box on my porch!!

I opened it up and saw this personalized card to my kid. He's only 4 months old so he can't appreciate it... but I did.

This months theme was Silly Sounds and it came with this nice little card.

Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?
Dr. Seuss
$4.99

I was excited to see this book because the Big Mr. has requested some Dr. Seuss books for the Little Mr.

Moo, Baa, La La La
Sandra Boynton
$5.99

Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?
Bill Martin Jr/Eric Carle
$14.95

This book gives the added bonus of animal noises..... except most of them don't sound like animals at all. My husband and I found it a little weird, and the little man just looks at the book strangely when we hit one of the buttons. The book itself however, is a keeper.

Overall, this has been a great set for the Little Man. The theme is right on target for him. He loves all the silly sounds in these books and he especially likes looking at the pictures in Polar Bear, Polar Bear. We already own Moo, Baa, La La La and The Little Book Club offers credit for books you already have but for some reason I just feel bad about doing this. We own a lot of books, it's bound to happen.

At this point it doesn't seem like The Little Book Club has a referral program. I really wish they did because I would totally be pushing their product for them! I compared the prices on Amazon and it would have cost about the same going that route but I love that they came in a themed set targeted for my kid. When I go to a bookstore I just randomly pick books I think Ben would like and I hope for the best. All three books we received are a hit.
