Seriously Saturday

I've really fallen off the wagon with my Seriously Saturday's. So here we go....

Zulily is the bomb. Really. I ordered a pair of shoes for my little man a size larger than he is currently wearing. When I received them they were WAY too small. As you know, Zulily doesn't except returns or exchanges so I was basically out the money (they were $7 so it didn't exactly break the bank). I just recently noticed you can review the items you purchase on the Zulily website. So I gave the shoes 1 star and explained the sizing problem, only hoping they clarify the sizing the next time the run that company. The next day I got an email from Zulily apologizing and giving me a $7 credit on my account. The bomb. Seriously.

I had a very successful Georgia trip this week in that I came home with about a dozen mosquito bites and a couple dozen fire ant bites. Seriously, why don't I feel fire ants biting me until I'm swarmed with them?? I spent the entire week itching like a meth addict.

I am way behind on Glee. I've been busy!! I just watched the failed wedding of Will and Emma and I was nearly in tears watching Rachel and Finn sing that old school love song together. Heartbreak.

Did the Patriots seriously keep Tebow?? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE: Tebow has been cut by the Patriots as of this morning. All is right in the world again.

Seriously Saturday

seriously saturday

I'm totally hoping for some fresh air for Southern Oregon. Forest fire season out there seriously sucks!

I scored a seriously awesome new camera with the insurance payout from the camera that was stolen out of my garage. That one was 5 years old and probably worth $5 but they gave me full value of a new camera.

I can't believe how far behind I am on my TV shows. It's been months since I've watched anything. What's new with Meredith? Damon? Jess? I've given up on PLL since there shows expire after a week on Hulu. And I'm totally looking forward to the Glee tribute to Cory Monteith even though I'm sure I will totally cry (even though I couldn't stand his character).

I mentioned to my husband that I have a lot of people check out my blog from Russia. He told me it is likely spies who found my site due to the word "Submarine" and are hoping for some secrets. I hope they are enjoying my reviews of nail polish.

I have some serious vaccinations I have to get for some upcoming travel and I am seriously freaking out! I HATE needles.

That's all I've got. What's up with you this week?

Seriously Saturday

Here's what's making me say Seriously!

I totally forgot to take pics and review this months NatureBox. I just devoured it immediately! Let's just say it was good.

We (and when I say "we" I mean my husband) forgot to close the garage door the other night and some loser got into my car and stole my camera and my GPS. While we were all inside the house!! Grrrr....

My father-in-law is back...... again.

Did anyone seriously watch the entire plea deal with Ariel Castro? The judge read all 900+ charges! I think I listened to 3. I'm so glad those ladies don't have to go to trial.

I have made very little progress on my post about our Niagara Falls trip.... and my next trip is coming up. I really need to get on it.

What's on your mind this week?

Seriously Saturday

I bought tickets for Amtrak and noticed they offered a military discount. I clicked that option and the price of the tickets went up $40. What the??

Seriously? Zimmerman walked away a free man? It just doesn't sit well with me.

My father-in-law finally got the hint that I like some advance notice that they are showing up. So this time he called when he was 30 minutes away. Thanks.

My kid has been miserable this week! I finally broke down and took him to the doctor just to make sure it wasn't his ears. It's just a nasty cold and I'm seriously ready for it to move on.

My good friend got orders to Japan, and I'm dying to know if i'll be joining her. Hello? Detailer? Anybody home?

What's driving you batty this week?

Seriously Saturday

Here is what's making me say Seriously! today.

I have a large personal bubble. I absolutely hate when you are standing in line and the person behind you is inches away. I'll actually "accidentally" step back and run into the person to get them to back off. A lot of the rest of the world however has a very small social personal bubble. It's one of the worst parts of vacationing for me. I had strange people actually leaning on me! Seriously, back off Frenchie! (not to offend any Frenchies - but they really seem to have NO personal bubble).

I seriously hope Zimmerman is guilty of something. Following around an unarmed person and the shooting him when he confronts you is not what the Stand Your Ground law was created for. And just so it's clear... I totally support that law.

My kid loves the Asian ladies!! Turns out they love him and his big blues and he picked up on this quite quickly during our trip this week. Now, whenever he sees an Asian woman, he becomes the biggest ham, gives them his best smile, and bats his lashes!

The dental saga continues - pregnancy seems to have really jacked up my teeth. I have never had issues like this. The good new is I got my root canal and my faith in military wives was restored. A very wonderful Navy wife, Mary, watched the little man for me. And of course... just days after I needed them the Child Development Center started taking kids hourly again. Jerks.

That's all for this Saturday!

Seriously Saturday

I'm behind on my Dexter (we don't do cable or dish or anything so I'm always behind on these premium shows. But Oh My God - is he gonna get caught? This is suspenseful! How am I going to avoid hearing the ending of season 8 until is comes out on DVD and I can watch it?

My laptop is about five years old. It had a reject battery from the get go but it's progressively gotten worse. It actually swelled and caused the track pad to have issues. After years of this I finally bought a new battery. Seriously, it's like I have a new computer. It is sooo exciting!

My kid slept through all the massive fireworks on our street. And they seriously do it big here. As in the CO2 kind. Going off at the same time from different houses. I was glad we stayed home because it was really very beautiful.

My husband has the summer off work. I'm happy for him - he deserves the break. But is he seriously going to sleep in everyday until noon when I am up every single morning with our kid??

Is it vacation time yet, seriously? I'm ready....

Seriously Saturday

If this is your first Seriously Saturday I'll fill you in: I say seriously a lot, like seriously. It's been pointed out numerous times. Here are the things that are seriously bugging me this week:

I ask my husband to get me spanish rice from the store, but not the Rice-a-Roni kind. What does he bring home? The off brand Rice-A-Roni spanish rice.

Why does the kid who mows my lawn have to show up and knock on the door, thereby causing the dogs to go nuts and bark, right after my kid goes down for a nap? Every time!

We've had a suspicious amount of mail disappear, or just never appear at this house. Including an IPhone and the flowers my son sent me for my first mothers day. Now a check has never arrived. I'm watching you mailman and neighbors!

The dental saga continues. I'm supposed to have root canal on Tuesday - fun!- but I can't find anyone to watch my kid. I'm just asking for a few hours. Us military wives are supposed to have each others backs. It looks like the NE attitude has rubbed off on the ladies. If I were still in the south this would not be a problem!

I'm annoyed with my own shopping habit. I've gotta cut back before my husband divorces me. Despite his inability to buy rice I would like to keep him around.

That's all I got! What's bugging you this week?

Seriously Saturday

What is Seriously Saturday? It's a bunch of things that drive me batty. I missed last week since I was on vacation so here are two weeks worth:

House guests who give very limited notice - like a day. I have a 4 month old. Plus two dogs. And I rarely have visitors since we live in the middle of no where. I need a few days to get my house presentable enough for you to come and stay! And btw, I might have plans. Thanks for checking.

"Friends" who constantly cancel plans with you really drive me up the wall. I've got a couple of these who I now just expect to cancel last minute..... I really just need to drop these people.

Will my kid EVER sleep through the night? I have serious doubts right now.

Are parents seriously still opting to NOT vaccinate their kids? How reckless and socially irresponsible could you be?

Who the hell gets married in Georgia in August? My friends, that's who. It's going to be HOTTTTTT!.

What is going on with my Patriots? Gronk, Welker, now Hernandez? And we picked up Tebow? What??

That's a wrap for this Seriously Saturday.

Seriously Saturday

So, seriously, what's the deal with Seriously Saturday? Well, anyone who knows me knows I say "seriously" a lot. I think it may stem from spending my pre-teen years in Cali. Like, seriously. I've had several people, including employers, call me out on it. Seriously. So here we are, a few things this week that made me say Seriously!

I weigh more today (4 months post kid pop) than I did when my kid was only 2 months. Seriously!! I need to find the motivation to get back on board the C25K. Running seems to be the only way I lose weight. That along with putting down the Oreo's. I've also challenged to a 30 day Ab Challenge. I'm doing it.

I hate the dentist. Unfortunately, I seem to need to go a lot. I've worked in the dental field so I'm very aware that there are good and not so good dentists. Problem is, it's hard to identify them before you've been and had some work done. Especially when you move someplace new and don't know anyone in the dental field. I had a filling done two weeks ago by a local dentist and it's still bothering me. I've been back a couple times now and I'm just not confident this chick knows what she's doing. I need a couple more fillings..... should I stay with her or move on?

What really sucks?? Dropping an entire bottle of breastmilk on the floor.

My husbands current obsession with a Star Wars video game is driving me bananas. Seriously, you're an adult. With a kid. Put down the controller.

I hit a dog with my car this week. It was dark and the dog was black standing in the middle of a busy road. I felt HORRIBLE. I'm a total dog lover and all I could think about was that I killed some kids dog. Luckily the dog seemed to be okay. The seriously part, however, was that the owners came out of the house after hearing the dog squeal and were not surprised nor upset in the slightest. Oh, you hit our dog? Yeah, it happens. What?? Seriously.

I still have no idea where we are moving in November. More cities keep getting thrown into the mix (including different countries). At this point I don't care where, I just want to know!! Seriously, someone make a decision.

That's it for this Saturday (okay, so technically it's about 4am Sunday). I'm not good with deadlines.
